Making value chains work better for the poor: a toolbook for practitioners of value chain analysis

This book provides value chain practitioners with an easy-to-use set of tools for value-chain analysis, with a focus on poverty reduction. It aims to strengthen the links between value-chain analysis and development interventions that improve the opportunities available to the poor. Each of the tools has a clear focus on analysing the impact of the value chain from the point of view of the poor.

Forests for people, copublished by Tudor Rose and the United Nations Forum on Forests Secretariat, highlights the importance of forestry management in achieving sustainable development. Over 75 authors, including ACIAR’s Forestry Research Program Manager Tony Bartlett, draw upon their diverse experiences from around the world, reflecting how people are changing their interaction with forests to improve the sustainability of their development. This publication will contribute to raising awareness and strengthening sustainable forest management for the benefit of current and future generations.
