Australian tree species research in China

ACIAR has supported collaborative forestry research between China and Australia since 1985. The research has proven highly successful. Previously untried species and provenances have out-performed many earlier introductions to China. Experimental plantings are giving rise to full-scale plantations, and forest products have been tested to find new uses. In 1992 a workshop was held in China to draw together the results of the research. These proceedings are a record of that workshop.
