These proceedings are the outcome of a workshop held under the auspices of ACIAR. The agenda included a wide range of related subjects in the field of postharvest transport of horticultural produce in Australia as well as overseas. Participants included growers, agricultural advisers, wholesalers and exporters, quarantine officers, scientists and experts on transport, packaging and refrigeration systems. This publication discusses the requirements of markets for various horticultural products, and ways to ensure that these products reach their destination in good condition.
