Effects of globalisation and economic development on the Asian livestock sector

This report analyses the impact of growth in demand for livestock products and trade liberalisation on the performance of the beef, pig meat, poultry and dairy systems in China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand.

The book highlights recent trends in production, consumption and trade of each livestock industry in each country. In all cases, livestock product demand growth is projected to exceed production growth.
