The World Agroforestry Centre (previously known as ICRAF) works through the support of Australia and other developed countries to address global poverty, hunger and environmental needs in developing countries. Australia contributes through project funding and direct contributions of AUD250,000 (in 2005-06). The Centre’s research operates through collaborative programs and partnerships that address the specific research challenges relating to farming lands and systems on the fringe of forest and pasture lands.
