Asian Vegetable Research And Development Centre

Overview

The World Vegetable Center (AVRDC) works to enhance the nutritional well-being of poor people in rural and urban areas, and to raise their incomes, through improved varieties of vegetable production. This extends to improving methods of production, marketing and distribution. Australia supports this work through the commissioning of appropriate projects in areas where AVRDC expertise coincides with identified research needs. For more information about the World Vegetable Center, see its website at http://www.avrdc.org.

AVRDC produce regular publications that give an indication of their current activities and future plans. These include an Annual Report which looks that their activities over the calendar year (available by contacting AVRDC), and a Medium-Term Plan that details their organisational direction for 2007-2009. It also includes an External Program and Management Review that is also available by contacting AVRDC.
