Seeds of Life review An external team undertook a review of the Seeds of Life (SoL) program in East Timor in 2009, focusing on the second phase of the program from September 2005 to January 2009. The team found that the second phase of SoL has been very successful, and is directly responsible for food productivity improvements in more than a quarter of East Timor's villages. |

CGIAR embracing change Agricultural research is entering into a new era of renewed commitment and heightened awareness of the benefits it can deliver for poverty reduction and economic development. The Change Management Initiative of 2008 set a new course for the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) that will help it to do more and do it better. The CGIAR is producing a newsletter, Embracing Change, to provide updates on the process. Change Management updates. |

Family focus for technology delivery Nasima, a woman farmer from Bangladesh, became the sole breadwinner for her family after she lost her husband in the Cyclone Sidr in November 2007. She continued her association with an ACIAR project and achieved one of the highest wheat yields in her district.
