AusAID Vietnam brief
The Australian Overseas Aid Program, of which ACIAR is a part, aims to assist developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development. AusAID manages the program, excluding the ACIAR component, on behalf of the Australian Government.

Australian aid provides practical, well targeted development assistance to the Asia-Pacific region, and responds selectively to needs in South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. AusAID's country briefs provide information on Australia's bilateral aid activities in those countries with which Australia has a development partnership.

DFAT Country/Economic brief
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) is responsible for advancing the interests of Australia and Australians internationally. DFAT administers Australia's foreign and trade policies, both within Australia and overseas. This includes the provision of information on other countries, such as key facts and figures in the form of fact sheets. Read the Vietnam fact sheet.

World Bank Country Brief - Vietnam
The World Bank Group's mission is to fight poverty and improve the living standards of people in the developing world. It is a development Bank which provides loans, policy advice, technical assistance and knowledge sharing services to low and middle income countries to reduce poverty.

DFIDWork on International Development
The Department for International Development (DFID) is the UK Government department responsible for promoting sustainable development and reducing poverty. DFID's assistance is concentrated in the poorest countries of sub-Saharan Africa and Asia, but also contributes to poverty reduction and sustainable development in middle-income countries, including those in Latin America and Eastern Europe.
