Mr Geoff Morris

Geoff Morris is the Country Manager for Vietnam. The program supports research on marine aquaculture with an emphasis on fish nutrition, a forestry program targeting improved production and value from plantation forests and crop and livestock program focused on three regions: integrated crop-livestock systems in the dry coastal areas in the South Central Coast; temperate agriculture in the North West Highlands; and climate change adaptation in rice-based systems in the Mekong Delta.

Geoff has extensive experience in working in Vietnam and the challenges and opportunities in agricultural development across the different regions and ethnic groups. Prior to working with ACIAR, Geoff worked as an advisor for the Vietnamese Government in forest research and community development in the North West Highland region. Before this in Australia, Geoff worked with Forestry Tasmania in strategic planning, operations and district management roles. Geoff has a Bachelor of Forest Science and Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne and an MBA from the University of New England.
